Camera locks up on HTC One X

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. send "photo"
2. no reply, any other command after this works with a reply.
3. send "photo" again
4. reply - "Error while getting picture: Fail to connect to camera service"
5. Unable to start standard camera app, says "unable to connect to camera"

What is the expected output?

photo is taken, and stored to internal storage

What do you see instead?

first no reply, then cannot connect and the camera is locked.

Phone gets hot and cannot use camera without a reboot.

Additional informations:
Phone model: HTC One X International (Tegra3),unlocked, stock ROM, rooted

was also tried before unlocking and rooting, with the same effect.

I presume this is a problem with sense 4, I can create an applog on request.

New fixes added.
It works on Nexus 4, GS2 and Galaxy Note 10.1

I hope that is working on every device
