I'd just page #food and get their opinion of it vs Dominos.
The fact that it is gluten and vegan friendly is definitely a step in the right direction in case we have members that start coming. Dominoes is 7.99 for take out?
@thetest3r Mr. T's has better dietary restriction options? I didn't know that -- that is definitely a big plus.
Yeah Domino's has a 7.99 3 topping special, we'd have to figure out what we want to do with Mr. T's (drop topping for the 8.99 special, eat the like 40% increase in pizza price, maybe ask if they can do us a solid and give us some sort of special deal if we always order from them at the same time or something... I dunno).
The other annoyance was that it's a little out of the way for picking up (I almost always grab the pizza on the way to Hacknight, saves a lot vs. delivery), but if everyone likes them much more and we can handle the cost difference issue then that'll be great.
Oh I was basing the dietary restrictions on the comment by @seabre (from the original post)
40% price increase? I thought i twas from 7.99 to 8.99? Or maybe I'm getting confused.
Yeah the pick up might be a little bit of a hassle.
Costco wouldn't be a terrible option since it's super cheap ($10 for a HUGE pie) (just a little out of the way, and not really dietarily inclined). I wouldn't mind picking those up when I do go to hacknight.
well $8.99 covers a 1 topping from Mr. T's, 7.99 covers 3 toppings from Domino's, if we wanted to keep the same items it would be $11.77 from Mr T's. Which is a 47% increase in price.
That or we just drop to 1-topping pizzas, which I don't have a problem with.
@seabre mentioned getting pizza from Mr. T's, they have some gluten-free and vegan friendly cheese options which may be awesome for anyone that has dietary constraints that we may have in the future.
On top of that, carry out is $8.99 for one topping, so price difference isn't too bad.
And it's local!
