Why should this be included?
This should be mentioned for sake of completeness. Tons of built-in cmldets are implemented this way, and it would be good to understand how they work. I wouldn't spend a lot of time on them, though, because I don't see many people writing modules. Also, they're windows-only (I think).
That's a good point. I'll add them to be complete but won't spend much time on them. I'm not aware of anyone who creates CDXML modules in the community.
