Large KMZ files fail to load in GE 5.1

Which products are affected?

Google Earth 5.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Create network link to several KMZ files of different sizes.
2.  Note that large KMZ files fail to load.  On my system with 15 MB
connection, the limit seems to be about 1 megabyte KMZ file.
3.  Note that same problem occurs if you link to the KMZ file from URL in
pop up balloon.
4.  It appears that it may be dependent on speed of server and/or speed of
connection to internet.

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
Files should load.  Just like they did prior to 5.1.

What application versions (if any) are you using?
Win XP, GE 5.1

Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.

Two files below.  One is larger than 1 megabyte.  One is smaller. 
Otherwise they are exactly the same content.  One will load via Network
Link, one will not.
