I agree that we need some more transparency. Knowing who is adding the events (i don't know they ares) would be awesome so that we can:
I've also thought about adding calendar items.
Maybe we can look at something called a resource calendar which only comes if you have a "paid/commercial" account but I think that we can apply for this as a non profit (hopefully they'll take pity).
Essentially the idea I have here is to book meetups as if they were a "room" at a workplace so the email would automatically accept any meetup calendar invite.
This might not be perfect but it might be an idea:).
The above tangent might be over-engineered, otherwise, we could get people to accept the events and send a message to the core calendar contributors.
I hope this is relevant to this issue and thanks for reading it :) Let me know if I should create a separate issue.
On another note:
Currently we just have volunteers that add things to our calendar. Maybe people message the board if they want an event on the calendar for now?
