"please turn on compute mode" even though it should be on. #452

Hi, using gminer 2.7 on win 64. The comnputer has a rx570 and a 2080 super. The driver in question is radeon 21.3.1. I have turned on compute mode in the radeon CPL, however gminer still complains about compute mode not being on for the rx570:

Any advice? Yes i tried turning the computer off and on again, this problem has persisted for over a week now.

teamred provided enable_compute.bat inside their windows package. maybe you might wanna try that. sorry i cant advise further since im not running my vegas on windows anymore.

Did you try a different miner to see if compute is working? PhoenixMiner has the option -acm. Are you shure you have the correct driver installed the clue is already in the picture AMD driver unknown.

other miners don't complain about compute mode not being on at all. I also tried phoenixminer with -acm and it seemed to work, however its slow as hell.

I have the latest amd driver installed, but somehow upgrading drivers completely messed up openCL and now it does not show the version in gminer anymore. SRBMiner also does not find any opencl devices.

Completely uninstall the AMD drivers using DDU and reinstall the drivers from amd.com. Block any driver update from Windows 10. What is the hashrate with PhoenixMiner as it should't be so slow. I get over 31 MH/s with a RX 6600 XT and a RX 580 8GB also over 31 MH/s on Windows 10. Getting a little less with the RX 6600 XT on linux but still have to fine tune it.

For me, if I play wow and then exit the game, unless I do a restart OR change to computemode the hash rate is 10-20% of normal. so, either something in miners needs to change or ...
