So as you say ETH the devs have decided not to delay the bomb according to twitter, so when ETH will be very difficult to mine there will still be no other crypto available apart from ETC which is in PLS and not profitable

It has just rolled over onto the 2nd month since other (major) mining apps released some revolutionary updates in terms of LHR, but gminer hasn't released a single update. (Nothing at all -- not even a non-LHR one -- absolutely nothing)!?
This is the longest we have ever waited for a gminer update. Historically gminer updates/improvements have always been released at least once every couple of weeks. What is going on?
Are the devs preoccupied with a different project somewhere else?

This is the first time I've considered an overhaul-level change to my setup, i.e., changing to another mining app! Up until now, I always stick it out and wait, but this time the wait is starting to feel a bit ridiculous considering how easy it would be to change.
And moreover, we should of been first to implement these kinds of improvements, not playing catch up with other apps?
Finally, due to the difficulty bomb, any hashrate improvement will help. So now is the perfect time to release it.
Patience is no longer a virtue.
