Problem with weight attribute #5

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
The module cannot import products that haven't got weight.

The problem appears in sneldev_magento.py (line 209):
      product_data = {
                            'name': prod.name,
                            'price': str(prod.list_price),
                            'sku': prod.code,
209                         'weight': str(prod.weight),
                        }

and in line 494:
       product = { 'magento_id' : info_product['product_id'],
                      'name' : info_product['name'],
                      'default_code' : prod['sku'],
494                   'weight' : info_product['weight'],
                      'list_price' : info_product['price'],
                      'modified' : False,
                      'export_to_magento': True,
                    }

It should be a default value, 0, if weight attribute isn't defined.
The same error could appear with price attribute.

Regards,
Alex

Instead of putting a default value, we decided to not export or import the
price or the weight if it is not defined (to avoid overwriting existing info).

The fix will be present in 0.7.5

Hi:

It could be great if you add an option to limit the number of product/orders to
import.
If exist many order or products it's frequently obtain a time out error.

Alex

Hi Alex,

I created a new issue for this request :
http://code.google.com/p/sneldev-magento-openerp/issues/detail?id=6

If possible, could you add some logs from one of those timeouts or more details
on the error you get ?

Thanks,
Nico

Hi Nico:

I'll upload a log as soon as i can.
Have you tried to import all product types from magento?
These types are:
Simple, Configurable, Virtual, Bundle, downloadable...

Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I have only been testing with Simple products for now. We definitely need to
try importing other types as well.
If you have tested and see problems, please do not hesitate to open new issue
reports.

Nico
