Date selector doesn't work for new assignments

When creating a new assignment, it isn't possible to set the first deadline using the date selector widget as no date can be clicked (all grey):

Workarounds

lowering the screen width to non-desktop gives you the mobile view, which works fine
clicking one of the «Select a suggested deadline» alternatives

Seems to be a caching issue with expired semester.
