GHA economic factsheets visualisations #1292

Closed ThatcherK closed 1 year ago

ThatcherK commented 1 year ago

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The first iteration of the factsheet map and bar chart was built but there are some changes requested to better display the data

Describe the solution you'd like It was suggested that since the data displayed in the map has both negative and positive values(increasing and decreasing poverty), the positive values should be represented by a block colour palette while the negative values shall be represented by a pattern colour palette. Both the increasing and decreasing poverty data should be grouped in quartiles The csv data for the bar chart has been updated and needs to be added to the existed chart

Hi @LCowie, how soon do u need this?

LCowie commented 1 year ago

Hi Edwin,

I hope you’re well. If the charts could be finalised in the next week, that would be great. Does that seem feasible?

Thanks,

Lucy

@LCowie unfortunately, it's looking like the earliest for completion will be the week after the next since @ThatcherK is still finishing up on an IATI ticket. Will let you know when we get to it, which will be sometime next week.

LCowie commented 1 year ago

Thanks for the update, Edwin. Please keep me informed about when Thatcher is able to work on it.

All best,

Lucy

Hi @LCowie, what's the budget code for this? @ThatcherK has estimated at least 3 days to get this done, I hope that fits within the budget.

LCowie commented 1 year ago

Hi Edwin,

Thanks for your email, the budget code for Thatcher to use is ITEP P0937.

Initially Matt said a week of Thatcher’s time was fine in terms of the budget, but we started working on this project before Christmas so Thatcher has spent some time on the interactives already. Do you know how many days Thatcher has spent on this before Christmas? If the total will be more than a week (including the three days to make changes now), I’ll go back to Matt to confirm whether that’s OK.

All best,

Lucy

Hi @LCowie I spent about 8 days on this before xmas, should I start work on it, or are you going to first consult with Matt?

LCowie commented 1 year ago

Hi Thatcher,

Thanks for the update. Let me just check with Matt and get back to you – do you think it will be about 11 days in total?

All best,

Hi Thatcher,

Matt says 11 days is fine, but it would be great if you could let me know if things change and it seems like it might take longer so that I can update him. Thank you!

I’m on holiday next week but I’ll be back on Feb 20th to look at changes if they’re ready by then.

All best,

Lucy
