pedro-mendonca commented 9 years ago

Portuguese translation (pt_PT) updated according current .pot file.

pedro-mendonca commented 9 years ago

Did you include it in 2.5.0?

devinsays commented 9 years ago

No, that version was submitted a few days before the pull came through. I'll try to get another version out soon with the updates.

pedro-mendonca commented 9 years ago

I'm testing this last language file with the released 2.5.0 and there are some strings that are not working. As soon as I can I'll report them.

Hi @pedro-mendonca. I just uploaded this theme to @transifex (https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/portfolio-press/). I also uploaded your translation files: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/portfolio-press/language/pt_BR/.

This might be a better way to keep translation files up to date. I'll upload a new version of the .pot about a week before a planned released (unless there is a bug that needs to get addressed immediately). I can also ping you here as well if you'd just like to stay with GitHub- but I have a feeling this might be easier.

There's actually a great group of translators working on free open source WordPress projects as a part of this group: http://wp-translations.org/. I'm sure they would love to have you involved.

pedro-mendonca commented 9 years ago

I'll check that. Meanwhile, my translation is pt_PT and not pt_BR

Thanks

devinsays commented 9 years ago

Yep, sorry, I had clicked on the first Portuguese locale on the list. I noticed after I uploaded. Files have also been updated here: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/portfolio-press/language/pt_PT/.

This translation system seems very complete. I've already used glotpress, but it's a bit more simple. I'm starting now to understand how Transifex works, and as I see it works as a team of translators, and you've delegated in them. The pt_PT language file that fxbenard uploaded is the last one I've sent you? I've noted some history changes that I'm still trying to understand. In GitHub I knew because my changes were referenced by my pull-requests and I was sure of what I've done, in Transifex those must have been bulk imported, is that so?

devinsays commented 9 years ago

I'm still learning Transifex myself, but it seems like a great tool.

I'm the one that uploaded the uploaded the pt_PT translations, and yes, they should be the most recent. I just uploaded the pt_PT file .po file up for the pt_PT translations.

In the future, Transifex will check GitHub to see if there are string changes and automatically make those strings available for translation. When I'm ready to push a new version, I'll pull all the current translation files that are 90% translated or higher directly from Transifex.

Hi @pedro-mendonca. I have a new version of Portfolio Press about ready for release. Would be great if you're able to update translations. I removed a lot of strings from the options panel.

pedro-mendonca commented 9 years ago

Hi @devinsays I've recived the notice from Transifex. I'll rather watch the differences first in Poedit because as I saw there are a lot of them that are reused and I don't have to rewrite them from scratch on Transifex. I'll complete it, thank you for your notice.
