Stuck on Yellow screen #41

OLD 11.6.0-39E using cubic ninja. when i navigate with the touchscreen in order to launch the homebrewlauncher it gets stuck on yellow bottom screen.

when i navigate using buttons everything works fine up until i start software from within the homebrew launcher. same problem. stuck on yellow screen

Seems like a problem with *hax 2.x, not with hbmenu. hbmenu is just a shell for whichever homebrew loading mechanism you're using.

You might be interested in upgrading to Luma3DS, which has a built-in .3dsx loading mechanism (Rosalina) that is more reliable than *hax 2.x.

I hadn’t even heard the news about Ninjhax 2.9 alpha.(“Please note that this is a beta”? 🤔)

Or that an 11.6 kernel exploit was even found. Was one? If not, you need to consider what access your chosen homebrew needs in order to run. Exactly what you’re trying to launch should therefore be part of your problem description. Either way, keep in mind that you’re playing with beta software, so there’s bound to be bugs.

*hax 2.9 is pretty old at this point. Most people nowadays are using coldboot-based (b9s/sighax) customized firmware to do homebrew. You can hack any 3DS in existence by the use of ntrboothax, however that requires certain types of DS flashcard plus a magnet (except for old 2DS which doesn't require a magnet at all).

Yea, i carry an ak2i in my backpack with me for when someone asks me to hook them up 😉.

thanks i am going to take a look into that. though to my understanding isnt it that i risk a ban when using luma? oh and sorry i thought this had to do with homebrewlauncher

The risk is doubtful. I personally think that, as long as you don't install illegally acquired content (or a certain tool used to do that) you should be in the clear. Also don't forget to disable the currently played title sharing + some other option in SpotPass settings whose name I can't remember.

thank you. i installed luma3ds around an hour ago and so far everything seems to work fine.
