One of the main things that has been missing from this emulator that both Kronos and Beetle Saturn have are the ability to run games at 50hz. However, as far as I know, there is no way to set this option in this emulator; instead, it always runs games at 60hz. In earlier builds for Windows and the RetroArch core version, there used to be such an option, but the audio didn't seem to be set up properly, as it would sound very distorted and "slowed down" compared to 60hz mode. I posted an issue in RetroArch's fork roughly a year ago about this, but it was closed due to the region option being removed. The old Yabause also has this option and the audio doesn't sound distorted in this mode.
There are many games that are depending on timing for this mode, especially those with FMV; at the incorrect timing, there will be framerate issues. There are also games such as Atlantis: The Lost Tales, which doesn't exist as a US release to my knowledge and makes heavy use of FMV.
Kronos is able to detect the region to be able to do this, and that would be good if it could, but it would be okay if you had to do this manually as well. Hope to see this fixed!
