How to setup Unifi Controller on Debian 10 - devopstales

Thanks a lot! Your post probably just saved me a lot of time figuring out how to fix the broken Unifi setup. It's 2022 now, and following Ubiquiti's instructions to just download a .deb and maybe do apt -f still does not work. They should just point to this posting instead.

Worked good for me on an old Debian Buster computer - thanks!! In the section that covers installing MongoDB, it doesn't mention the actual install step. This needs to be added: apt update apt install mongodb-org

It might be good to mention how to start the Unifi controller once it is installed, I found this on another web page: In a web browser, enter into the url field: https://localhost:8443

(I hereby issue a curse on the Ubiquiti company for making this so difficult to setup a cheap wifi access point. I'll be staying away from their products going forward.)
