This file creates problems in case-insensitive filesystems and is actually invisible for some repo users. Deleting one copy so the problem is addressed. The git error is something like that:
warning: the following paths have collided (e.g. case-sensitive paths on a case-insensitive filesystem) and only one from the same colliding group is in the working tree:
