Text not rendering #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open the attached file in inkscape or AI
2. see the text labels therein (i.e. "strain" and "density ratio")
3. compare with the thumbnail/preview

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
there is no text in the preview

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
windows 7 
dssee_setup_x64_v011.exe  

Please provide any additional information below.
File was greated using R ggplot/ggbio plotting pkg under linux
