Check server logs #119

Access the production server using the appropriate account.

Run ./daily.sh YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD represents the start point for your check. On Mondays, this should be the date of the preceding Friday; on other days, it should be the preceding day. (This does mean that some log data will be checked twice, but redundant checks are better than gaps.)

The script walks you through the process of checking various server health indicators. If you find problems or anything that seems out of the ordinary, create an Issue in this repo.

Finally, close this Issue with a comment that either

Not sure if this is something or not but I'm making an issue. "error: PAM: Authentication failure for illegal user help from ( an IP)" popped up a couple times between 8:43 and 8:49 on 4/29/2020. #120

Another thing that's kind of weird but if it is nothing just close it the issue. "error: Received disconnect from (an IP) port (not sure if this is technically sensitive info): com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth cancel [preauth]" at 18:01:54, 18:16:01, 18:50:00, 19:08:21, 19:26:51, 19:25:27, 20:04:04, 20:22:04, 20:42:00, 21:01:00, #121
