No neutral icons available? #210

Yes, not a bad idea. But I'd think these icons will be rarely used because
only a few people want to search 900 icons to find what they need.

What I want to say is: You forgot neutral icons. Most of the classical map
icons are neutral icons in different colors that can be used for everything.

Hi Wolfpil,

Thanks for your feedback.  I don't know your definition of rarely used but our 
icons
are downloaded form over 600000 times to 155 for the ones posted yesterday. We 
are
pretty happy with this.

Regarding the neutral icons, this is why our project was created.  Google have 
their
pin in several colors and we felt we needed more.  On top of this you have our
Numbers, Letters & Symbols map icons:
http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/NumericIcons where you will 
find a
couple of hundred neutral, lettered and numbered icons to use.  There we also 
link to
some sites that can provide even more.  I'm pretty confident that this is 
enough for
the vast majority of users.  Hope you find them useful too?
