Connection and credentials check #9

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Couldn't find any. Tried to
use a workaround by trying to delete a non existing query, but wrong url
(calendar's colection UID), wrong credentials and the non existing query -
all produce the same exception.

Hi Guys,
For this problem, I have implemented a check method that tries to get the
requested
calendar before doing anything and reports many kinds of Networking Exceptions.
As a
matter of fact, it would be great if this was done within the library

This is what I do in my application (see attached) before any calendar
manipulation

This could be implemented in a Manager class.
An idea is to add a Manager class in the caldav4j code, instead of lefting it
as an
exercise to the reader.

The connect then will be a separate method used for setting username/password
and
setting some calendar collection properties..

Use the OPTIONS method implemented in CalDAVCollection. In the next release
more
exceptions will be thrown by caldav4j
