although stm should help with writing concurrent 
systems, THE internals of THE alpha stm are not 
concurrent

one of THE things that could be done is to chop THE 
commit Logic on THE atomicobjects into smaller sets 
to be executed in parallel. Conflict detection and 
writing eg

THE fj framework could be used for this
