Im guessing you have an Archos 70IT with the hard drive... Isn't the hard drive
the internal memory?

You are very clever, I have a HDD version of my Archos 70IT, but do you have
any idea to install Urukdroid into internal memory? ( mean the ROM)

There is internal NAND memory in A70H - but it's much smaller then in A70S. So
it's more complicated to do this without destroying original firmware. But it's
completely doable - I just don't have A70H to practice ;). I'll try to work on
this.

Hi
I can confirm that is possible to install UrukDroid in a Archos 70H (HDD
Version). It took 4 attempts but in the end of the day it works all fine. But,
Leomyam has definitely a point. The HHD is operating permanently. Therefore you
have literally using the charger all the time. But even without charging the
permanent spin added on top the normal CPU usage generates that many heat that
the Archos becomes very hot ( I mean VERY hot). I decide to go back to the
original FW – unfortunately.
By the small glance of having UrukDroid installed I 100% support this ideas to
put in the flash. I think it is a great tool and I’m the first to install it
again (if it addresses this issue)! Thanks
Bernhard

I just installed UrukDroid 1.5 on a A70H (IT with 250GB HD). The instructions
worked great but it never stated that the previous system would be wiped clean
when installing the new one. I had ArchosOS on it with a lot of data that went
bye-bye. Other than that, the install went flawless. The system I ended up with
is much more "peppy" than it was before. I am thankful for that. The devs have
done a great job with this release. Thanks!!!
The only issue I am having with UrukDroid 1.5 is that when I am charging the
system and actively using it, the system will spontaneously reboot itself. I
can verify that it is stable (REALLY stable) when not charging.

This would be fantastic.
I cannot use URUK due to the reboots from overheating and the battery drain.
I would love the choice to install it internally EVEN at the expense of losing
the original firmware permanently.
Even just a step by step guide would suffice.

I too would love to install this on what I believe is a 2gb internal Flash.
Could this be installed over the original as a replacement.
I would be willing to try any updates you have, but I'm not too technical with
Linux or Android programming, so may not be much help. But I could, with
proper guidance, produce reports from the device.
