Tethering doesn't work with Nokia E71 #30

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Pair with my Nokia E71 -> OK
2. Launch tethering -> fail (Cell phone tethering -> bluetooth -> i choose my
E71 -> crash)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I have an error message: "Sorry! The application Settings (process
com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again

Did previous version of UrukDroid did it right? Does it work on Archos
default OS correctly?
I never tried UrukDroid before version 1.0. With Archos default OS, everything
works fine

What version of UrukDroid are you using? What version of Archos device?
Urukdroid 1.0 with a Archos 43 IT

Disabling remote SIM worked for me:

--> Go to Bluetooth Settings on the E71 and then set "Remote SIM mode" to "off".

I am having simmilar issues on Android 3.1 Asus Transformer.
Nokia e71 is paired, when I click on the device nothing happens. When clicking
on the wrench icon, there are no profiles listed.

Tried with both sim mode on and off.
I can connect with an app to transfer files from the phone (Bluetooth File
Transfer).

Tried with an old Sony ericsson phone and everything seems to work properly.
Clicking on the wrench icon there are 2 profiles listed and I can connect to
the internet.

Hi everyone.
I have same problem. I'm using urukdroid 1.0 on archos 70 it. And i didn't try
old versions of uruk. My mobile is nokia 5320 xm. And the problem is exactly
same. It's ok pairing my device. But when i choose my mobile while tethering,
the same error message comes out (with both sim mode). And it was working with
stock archos firmware. In fact, i'm a bit new for all these. I used linux just
for a while, that's all. If i have to do it manual, how can i do?act, i'm a bit

Ok, I did it :) But I dont know how exactly. I installed "Wireless Tether" on
my Archos 70 IT and turned on Bluetooth tethering instead of Wifi tethering. I
paired my Archos with my mobile phone. Then: Cell Phone Tethering>Bluetooth>My
phone... It didn't work again. But Manual Setting screen showed up. So I did it
manually. It works now. But what did make it work, I don't know. My phone was
charging, maybe it was the way to work :) But with all these, sometimes I see
the "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped
unexpectedly. Please try again" message and it stops working. And if I can't
make it work again, I go to Bluetooth Settings and finish pairing. Then I
re-pair it with my mobile phone, it works again. I mean, it seems that it isn't
the exact solution. But that's all I have for.. And it works for now:)

Confirm issue with Archos 101 IT and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Bluetooth
tethering crash if "remote SIM mode" set to "on" in Nokia. Once "off" - the
manual tethering is possible.

Also USB tethering didn't work on my Nokia either, phone in the "PC Suite" mode.
