A safe point has been added at the bottom of the ladder, so a death there won't cause a hard drop on the ladder. Maybe this can be improved with some triggers and INF changes to move the ladder elevator to the top or bottom depending on where the player is. I will leave this issue open for now, as a better solution may present itself.
Description Ladders in Dark Tide (and DF in general) are really just elevators with pauses and SFX. As a result, if you die at the bottom of a ladder and respawn at the top of the ladder, walking into the ladder shaft will result in a fall to the bottom of the ladder, as the elevator is no longer at the top. The ladders should be improved so that ideally they work as you would expect from a ladder.
