Hi, I have a mp3 file of an audiobook. It contains 6h40min of audio at 80kbit/s CBR. After converting it to OPUS, or OGG/Vorbis or m4a/aac the result is incomplete; it's only about half as long: 3h22min.
mp3val shows no errors and says: 921939 MPEG frames (MPEG 1 Layer III), no tags, CBR
file says: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v1, 80 kbps, 44.1 kHz, JntStereo
