Funny 9-5er? #111

My OSRC says: "Jaykul is a nine-to-fiver who works best late at night (around 11 pm)." http://osrc.dfm.io/jaykul

Seems to me you just need another description in between "nine-to-fiver" and "fulltime hacker" to account for those of us who code all day and into the evening, but actually sleep regularly.

Here's another like mine, just for reference ;-) http://osrc.dfm.io/antonios007#schedule

KonradIT commented 10 years ago

@jaykul solution is to sleep more...

Jaykul commented 10 years ago

Clearly (from my chart), I sleep 2-9am most days ;-) I think that's enough, but apparently to be considered "full time" I need to sleep LESS, not more o.O

dfm commented 10 years ago

Hahah! The "nine-to-fiver" category actually means that you mostly work during the week and less on the weekends! I agree that it sounds hilarious when written on your profile. Maybe we could add more of a description of what the terms mean in the "schedule" section.

Ha, same thing here :)

I would never read nine-to-fiver as 'during the week'. I was actually quite offended (nah not really), because I work from about 2PM-2AM. Any way to have some other text for that? 'day-time code' 'take a break in the weekends' 'appreciates their free time'.
