Hi, Thanks for your update. From your EFI clean vanilla style while Echo version bit modified version. Would you share link of tutorials on how Echo able to modify boot up skin with icon etc even without opencanopi.efi install on Driver? There's no resource folder instead using icon folder.

Just to learn how to beauty EFI different way compared dothania tutorial.

@gonav8 Well, the OpenCore Mod that Echo used is made by @n-d-k. Other than the graphical changes and mouse support, the most noteable change that the Mod has is it doesn't inject ACPI if you boot Windows through Bootcamp.

I like the original OpenCore as it gets developed faster than the mod, and the Vanilla one is used by most people, so less chance of anything bad being injected into it.

Oh and the Mod is stuck at OC 0.5.8 where the vanilla OC is already updated to 0.6.1 which is miles better than 0.5.8.

You can check out n-d-k's Opencore code here https://github.com/n-d-k/OpenCorePkg to see how it was made.

@i3p9 checked your work and it worked on my t450. Since you disabled issues on your fork, i have to ask you here.

  1. Is there a way to disable csm support and still have a functional system without the garbled screen when it gets past the apple logo?

  2. Are you using the 1080p display? And how did you enable hidpi. My fonts are way too small and blurry

  3. On first boot when i plug in my headphones i get white noise/static, it only stops when i put the laptop to sleep and wake it up. How do i fix this??

@racka98 Hi, sorry I didn't notice I have Issues turned off. I turned them on and you can make issues there, it'd be easier to track. As for your questions:

  1. I have no idea, sorry. I'll look it up and update if I find anything.

  2. Yes I am using a 1080p display, and I have a separate 4K monitor connected via Mini DP. And agreed that native resolution sucks in MacOS. Use this : https://github.com/mlch911/one-key-hidpi for Hidpi.

  3. Have you tried to use alc_fix to fix this issue?

  1. What options did you select for the best results. I kinda don't know which i should choose

  2. Tried alcfix, installed it but still have the whitenoises and no sound at first boot until i put the laptop to sleep. I guess i better just install the intel bluetooth driver and use my bluetooth headphones instead. And did you get wifi working with the built in intel wifi card??
