Add C++ interface back in #50

It would be very useful to me for my project if a C++ interface was added back. I don't know how hard this is, but if it can be done easily, that would be great.

Thanks for the good suggestion. Adding a C interface is on my TODO list for this project since also two other persons have asked me for this.
