ProxyDroid not working on Samsung GS3 on CM10 (JB 4.1.2) #1

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Socks proxy running over SSH. Tested the proxy with a non-Android machine, and
proxy appears to be functioning just fine.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Define a proxy
2. Enable said proxy
3. Proxy Droid says it connected, but nothing is able to access the Internet.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing is proxied. Tried via both by application & global setting and none
are able to access internet while proxydroid profile is enabled.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ProxyDroid v2.6.2

Please provide any additional information below.

I can give you any help you like to debug, just let me know what you want/need.

My ROM: 2012-10-23 nightly version of CM10 (JB 4.1.2)
Carrier: Verizon
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3

Same here.. rooted Galaxy Nexus with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 stock, doesn't work.
In LG optimus dual with same settings and same version of proxydroid(2.6.2) all
works fine.

Please fix for Jelly Bean!!

Same issue for Galaxy-S2, I just switched to JB from ICS and proxydroid stopped
working, it was working perfectly on ICS. I also tried replacing proxy.sh from
ver 2.6.2 still no hope.
Please do something asap,

After setting up the proxy host & proxy port, global proxy was checked, then
switched on the ProxyDroid. Everything looked fine and ProxyDroid reported no
error. But when I switched to the browser, it couldn't go everything.

My phone is Huawei G520 with rooted JB 4.1.2. Please advise how to resolve this
issue

Hello everybody... i have solved JB 4.1.2 on my Galaxy Core and the same
solution worked on my Galay Young.

First, go to settings>>apps>>all. look for proxydroid and select Delete data
(this will erase all your proxy configuration).

After that, run proxydroid and enter your proxy settings but DO NOT CHANGE
PROFILE NAME (leave it as profile 1, profile 2 ... etc).

Test it... it worked like a charm on my 2 JB 4.1.2 mobiles.
