I confirm i have the same issue since my Ubuntu upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10.
Any pop-up window from the programm is very likely to be displayed but not
responding to mouse or key. It seems the focus stays on the main window. Most
of the times, changing the tabs (ie. Trackers, Peers, Files) doesn't work, and
only the main area of the window is reacting.
As a result, i'll have to switch to the webgui until a fix is there.

Confirmed. On the main window I can't even select the torrents, mouse clicks
are captured in the left tab (trackers, categories, etc.)

I confirm the same here. As a workaround use 32-bit bianaries as it works
perfectly fine on my 64-bit ubuntu.

As a workaround you can set the environment variable LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0
before running transgui.
export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0
It will fix these problems.

sudo su
echo "export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0" > /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80overlayscrollbars
from http://www.webupd8.org/2011/04/how-to-disable-overlay-scrollbars-in.html
worked great for me.

The command "export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0" did fix the issue. But changes
everywhere the scrollbar to an older, bigger version.
In 11.04, there was already the small orange scrollbar. Nevertheless, i never
had issues with transgui. What did change ?
It would be great to fix this so that users don't have to 1. find this page 2.
play with X11. 3. stay away from ubuntu improvements.

Confirming the same issue after a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10 ("Oneiric
Ocelot")
Modal windows ceases to respond. Clicking into buttons of those windows scrolls
the torrent list.
Running transgui from terminal reports the following :
(transgui:8584): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_realize: assertion
`GTK_WIDGET_ANCHORED (widget) || GTK_IS_INVISIBLE (widget)' failed
BTW: I'm willing to help in any way to solve the problem. Please let me know.

Fixed in r639. Overlay scrollbars are disabled by the program automatically.

Awesome. I'm not at the house right now, but I'll test on my Ubuntu 11.10
machine when I get home. Thanks for being so quick to resolve this issue. I use
transgui all the time so me and my roommates can have one machine that has the
Transmission daemon running and we all use transgui to connect to that machine
and download torrents.

I just tested r639. It works perfectly. Strangely, the fonts are bigger than
v3.1.
Thanks a lot!

The new version uses the system default font size. Other apps should use the
same font size. Is this true?

It's true. It's fine like that, i was just surprised. Thanks a lot for the
really good work :)
