Torrents keep showing in the list after removing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I try to remove a torrent, and it shows for a second like is being deleted 
but it's still there. It happens both using "remove" or using "remove torrent 
and data"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should get removed from the list. I've got lots of torrents that no longer 
exist in the computer and I cant'get rid of them, the list is huge.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
5.0.1 I use it in ubuntu 12.04 and windows xp sp3 and it happens in both.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried removing and reinstalling transmission and transmission remote gui 
but the torrents are still there. Any way to delete all config and reinstall?

I uninstalled tranmission and unexpectedly I can still see the torrents from 
tranmission remote. It's like the cache or historic files are there forever. 
Anway to just make a clean installation of tranmission and tranmission remote 
gui from scratch?

This is really a question for https://forum.transmissionbt.com/index.php since 
transmission-remote-GUI only processes what the daemon replies with RPC. So how 
to completely remove the daemon and config is your real question for
