Keyboard unexpected behavior: multi-key on single-key #844

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Ubuntu 14.10 Amd64
2. Install Transmission Remote GUI from Software center. Current version is
5.0.1
3. Open Transmission Remote GUI and create a new connection
4. Type any string inside "Remote host" input field.
5. Some of the letters will be inserted twice. For example, if I try to write
"test" I will get "tteesstt" inside the input. Also if I try to delete a letter
using backspace, for some of the letters I will delete two of them.
6. Tested on Thinkpad T410 on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.10

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 14.10 Amd64, fresh install

Really strange bug. You can right click on the input box and select: Input
Methods and change it to: None

Changing the input method to None is not fixing the problem. I've tried several
other input methods, getting the same result.

But... am I the only one with this problem? It's reproducing on all my devices.
