I need to use OASIS as part of a project that requires python3 and a more recent version of biopython. I have gone through the codebase and made a variety of changes:
move to setuptools install
move to entry point rather than a script to call the program
added a main function to the old script, which is now in the src dir
ran 2to3 to get most of the issues addressed
made subprocess calls to blastall rather than the depreciated biopython interface
fixed various bugs I introduced
I would love to get some feedback on this -- I don't see a test suite so I don't know if this will give the exact same results. Looking forward to hearing from you!
