Is auto tiling in scope for Penc? #27

Hey, I really enjoy using Penc on my M1 Air, does exactly what I expected and is very reliable.

Ever since I used i3 on linux for a while, I can no longer work productively without something like it.

On macos, I went from Amethyst to Yabai because of better default layouts.

I think it could be really great if Penc had such functionality because it has a perfect user experience. Which is what is the before mentioned are lacking.

I am imagining a mode where swiping a new window into a corner that is already occupied splits both into halves, etc.

Tldr; Might Penc some day support Window Tiling?

Hey @brasilikum, thanks for your kind words. I have never used automatic window tiling before, but I heard lots of good comments about Yabai. So I don't know, I currently have a pessimist opinion about implementing something that I have no idea. But I cannot talk about future, who knows someday we will get into that direction 😁

Fair enough! As soon as Yabai starts working again on Monterey I will be trying it together with Penc to see if maybe the combo works well enough! Rock on!
