Virtual Machine has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1

Dear All,

I have just installed Oracle Virtualbox and using phpVirtualBox Web Interface.

My Scenario -
Operating System - CentOS 5.8 64 Bit
VirtualBox Version - VirtualBox-4.1-4.1.12_77245
PHP Version - 5.3.3
phpVirtualBox - 4.1-7

I am able to successfully login to the http://192.168.1.10/phpmyadmin and 
create Virtual Server Templates, but when I try to start the Virtual Machine, I 
get the attached error.

This is in the log file /home/vbox/.VirtualBox/VBoxSVC.log

I tried what the screenshot says, but it did not helped me.

hi,

can you run the virtualbox from the centos desktop and run the virtual machine?
or is it centos 5 server you are using?

also have you installed 'dkms' ?
if not try the following

yum --enablerepo rpmforge install dkms
yum groupinstall "Development Tools"
yum install kernel-devel

then restart the computer and try again...

Hi, 
I tried as suggested by you even, tried on all over again on both CentOS 5.8 64 
Bit and CentOS 6.2 64 Bit on a "VMWare Virtual Machine" with no luck.

I am attaching ALL steps for installation hereby - Installation_Steps.txt
Please check where I am going wrong.

Now, I am getting an error "Error logging in to vboxwebsrv".

I cannnot find any erroneous lines in 
/home/vbox/.VirtualBox/{VBoxSVC.log,vboxwebsrv.log}.

One important thing is that when I open the Virtual Box console in runlevel 5 
and I try to create a new Virtual Machine the window closes/vanishes 
automatically.

Please suggest how to tackle this. Many thanks for you time and support.

Something is wrong with your VirtualBox installation. Please raise the issue at 
virtualbox.org. The same goes for ".. terminated unexpectedly ..." That is also 
a VirtualBox issue.

hi 
i just installed virtual box and when i create a new machine its perfectly fine 
during the installation  but when it starts up it give me 3 error reports , the 
least common one says that it cant create some weird value thingamabob and then 
the other thing is that it will say that there was this error thing during 
process 5 also there is this other thing where it says that it cant create this 
weir thing that has something to do with not be able to create a monitor ?  IT 
SHOULDN'T FREAKIN' DO THAT GOD FECKIN DAMMIT
I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!!!
