Timeout while creating fixed-size disk image #558

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter the wizard for creating a new VM
2. Choose to create a new disk image of a decent size, so allocating it will
take a while. (I tried 32 GB) Make sure, that you don't create a dynamically
expanding image, but a preallocated one.
3. Wait for it...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
phpVirtualBox should be aware, that the server may not respond for a while, or
at least save the state of the wizard and offer to resume VM-creation
afterwards.

What version of phpVirtualBox, VirtualBox, and PHP are you using? On what
operating system?
phpVirtualBox 4.1-7
Virtual Box 4.1.12_Ubuntu (77245)
Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below.
The only indication I had that the disk-creation was still running, was a
ssh-session with "top". It's not a serious problem, but would be nice to fix.

Hrmm... I'm unable to reproduce this. On mine a progress operation dialog pops
up. Are you sure you are using 4.1-7? Were there any error messages in your web
browser's javascript console? What browser are you using?
