have imported/moved main content (top level files, news, blog, workshops); more cleanup and layout customization needed (have not yet configured urls to match previous urls)
configured menu to match current site main menu
moved top-level static assets to Hugo static asset folder (static/ ) but preserving current path
configure goldmark to allow "unsafe" content (html) in posts, since we use that currently for figures and others
preliminary readme with setup instructions
cleaned up some (definitely not all!) jekyll files that are no longer needed
I've set up Render to build this branch; if/when we switch to a develop/master workflow, we can configure it to build the develop version of the site and enable pull request generation.
