Hey,

thanks for the note. Indeed it appears we have been duplicating efforts to some extend :-)

Although I'm not sure to what extend the two libs could be merged?

we could adopt some sort of API for georeferencing plugins along with some a uniform cache API with pluggable backends; then at least we could share those, you have several I'm missing and mine have some bonus features; it would be uber if we could make the lookups poolable and async-compatible
