It extracts the common dependencies and default-language: the benefit is not terrible but i think it shows the potential of the new function added by @quasicomputational

Yeah, this is a good idea. I was also thinking the list of extensions could go in there.

Mmm, components doesn't have a common list now and some of them doesn't have any but it is no harm to add to all of them, i guess

OK - makes sense. I think uniformifying the extensions is a good idea in any case, but this PR's a strict improvement on its own terms.
