This is the name that I have found in my Fedora installation:
org.mockito.mockito-core

Of course it's a semantically correct name, but carries wrong information. What
I'd expect here is the namespace of the entire mockito project to be
org.mockito, and then have subcomponents org.mockito.core, org.mockito.ui etc.

In case if there is only one component, it should be named org.mockito.

In that situation, it would be possible to use BSN: org.mockito.core, because
the component name would start with project name, It would look like much more
ellegant, and it would clearly inform what packages are inside. Current name
suggest packages like org.mockito.mockito-core which is not right.

Hi,
I'm not sure what's the implication for changing that.

At the moment the Bundle symbolic name do seem ok, as it's based on the maven
groupId (org.mockito) and the maven artifactId (mockito-core / mockito-all).

I don't see a reason to change that we don't have other subcomponent yet, and
if they were I believe we will continue use the same pattern.
