Playlist does not seem to have continuous play (certain devices #26

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add multiple stories/show segments to the playlist
2. Start playing the first item in the playlist
3. Either wait for the first item to play, or fast forward to a spot near the
end so it finishes sooner.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect that when the first item finishes playing, it would
automatically start playing the next item (isn't that the whole point of a
playlist?). Instead, it just stops.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

NPR News version: 1.2.3
Android version: 1.6
Kernel version: 2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37
Build number: DMD64

This happens to me sometimes...other times it does go on to the next story. I
have an evo on 2.1 (not froyo)

I can reproduce this on a Droid 1 running 2.2 with app version 1.3.2.

Add a couple items to playlist>>Let screen lock>>Playlist does NOT advance
Add a couple items to playlist>>Keep screen active>>Playlist DOES advance

I can reproduce this on Sprint's Samsung Moment, Android 2.1 update 1. The
failure to continue to play along the playlist is sometimes associated with the
app freezing. It then waits to crash when I next try to start the app from the
home screen.

Since I can reproduce this bug easily, I'm going to try to get a build off svn
and watch for the Exception(s) to fire on my phone.

I can reproduce with Samsung Galaxy S (no froyo). It does sometimes work and
then stops working, does not crash.

This is old, but I still see smattered reports of this issue. Doesn't seem to
be limited to just the old G1, so I've updated the summary accordingly.

Same problem on an HTC Incredible, Android 2.2. The behavior is erratic.
Sometimes the playlist will make it all the way through, other times is might
make 2 or 3 items before stopping.

Under 2.0 this seems to be fixed. I can't reproduce the issue on N1, even
following the test case in comments 3 and 8.
