This paragraph attempts to deal with lifetimes for DHCPv6-PD, with the remainder of the issues dealt with in references.

I think you meant “address space”? A client that has delegated any of the address space received through DHCP Prefix Delegation MUST NOT issue a DHCP Release on the relevant delegated prefix while any of the address space is outstanding. That includes addressed leased out by normal DHCPv6 (IA_NA), prefixes via DHCPv6-PD (IA_PD), and addresses autoconfigured by IPv6 Router Advertisements.And “outstanding” on its own here is maybe not clearest? Perhaps something about has been advertised or delegated with a non-zero outstanding valid lifetime? A client that has delegated any of the address space received through DHCP Prefix Delegation MUST NOT issue a DHCP Release on the relevant delegated prefix while any of the address space has a non-zero valid lifetime remaining.
