Not sure if it can be fixed. The current code is only useful for online testing. Pages require connection to googleapis.com and googlecode.com in order to work without throwing errors and in order to be clear about what can and what cannot be viewed correctly.
Any way, it would be nice if that restriction is reported at least in the README.md
