After doing workaround Chrome still prompts annoying message "Disable Developer Mode Extensions" #1539

Describe the issue:

I did what you told to hide that annoying Chrome message. But it still appears. Maybe I was doing it bad? Or something is wrong? As you said at Regedit in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ I have created new key “ExtensionInstallWhitelist” and new value string within calling it 1. As a value data I pasted AdNauseam ID. After restarting the browser it still shows that annoying dialog box. Actually Google Chrome was not in Policies. I just added new keys and named it the way you told. Originally new key “ExtensionInstallWhitelist” I added just at "\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome", created new value string 1 and value as Adnauseam ID. But there was no effect. Chrome still shows that annoying message everytime I start the browser.

Steps for anyone to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to Regedit "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome"
  2. New key > "ExtensionInstallWhitelist"
  3. New string value "1", value data: your AdNauseam ID
  4. Close regedit, close browser. Open browser, see the annoying message.
  5. Delete the key "ExtensionInstallWhitelist" at "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome"
  6. Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\"
  7. There create new key "Google" and there new key "Chrome"
  8. Along Chrome Create new key "ExtensionInstallWhitelist"
  9. There create new string value "1", value data: your AdNauseam ID
  10. Start browser and see annoying message.
  11. Delete all new created useless keys. Close regedit. Enjoy G C annoying message without workaround.

I'm also having the same issue.

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Policies" was also missing, creating the key and string value didn't work either.
