Just got this as well. Also on Firefox 117.9, on Linux, with AdNauseam version 3.17.9.1 (but got it on 3.18.0 on a different computer).
As a bit of a bypass you can use the ublock element picker in adnauseum to block both the popup message itself and the black background around it, this will make videos start paused when clicking on them but will allow you to unpause them immediately instead of waiting for youtube to let you close out of the pop up since the pop up will never appear.

They have also blocked the scrolling feature. I am not sure how to bypass this as well.
This started happening to me too today, its making using Mixes as background music while gaming etc hell
I confirm this was happening, but then I updated the filters and it stopped, should be because of filters not up-to-date. Before updating, can you please share what was the time of the last update of uBlock filters on the dashboard filter-list tab? It shows if you hover the time icon like this:
Updated all filters and lists (after purging them) and this message still occurs for me
This is a consequence of YouTube's commitment to fight against ad blockers. The question is, will AdNauseam fight back?
I've not gotten YouTube's No Adblock message (Linux Firefox v118 AdNauseam 3.18.0)
Started getting this today as well, doesn't pop up on every video though
Update: the pop up is happening mid video now too
Can't play videos now. Reached 3-videos limit.
It seems that this issue is also happening to some uBlock users https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/19976, maybe we are suffering a bit more since our lists may not update as fast as uBlock (still investigating this). Sorry for any users suffering from bans because of this, the ad-blocking community is doing its best to keep up with youtube's new methods.
I'm currently waiting for a new official release from uBlock, so we can pull merge and release, I'm hoping it should happen this week.
I'm wondering if this has to do with Operating System, because on my Linux PC and my Linux Steam Deck I've not gotten the YouTube AD block detection.

I don't run anything other than Linux boxes, but I've also noticed them increasingly showing up on all said boxes.

The first other Linux I've seen, it does then seem to be that it is not yet my turn
Seems like YouTube is doing some A/B testing and more of us are a part of the "A" group now. I'm just gonna say it, I prefer this popup over the ads themselves. (Not banned from watching videos, they just have a 5 second timer for me)
I don't think it's A/B testing, more like A/B/C testing. As something I've been noticing recently is YouTube has been shrinking my buffer size and how fast it refills I get quite a bit. It's not my speeds because Google helpfully pops up it's "Experiencing interruptions? Find out why" thing still, and it always shows me that my provider and my speeds are good.
A/B testing just means they roll something out to one group and something different to another. Yes. more people have recently been getting caught up in their ad blocker effort. So far just popups for me, but then they actually stop you from watching any videos so it's a bit more serious than just popups. Unsure how long before that happens... it's been a few days of annoying popups for me

Some people are speculating it's a regional thing. Who knows, maybe there's even more experiments going on. I haven't been blocked or throttled yet.
Can't play videos now. Reached 3-videos limit. Found a thread on reddit on uBlock, it said that youtube changes the algorithm to detect ad blocker 2 times a day and instructions on how to update filters and find plugins that youtube reacts to. In my case, updating filters with restarting firefox browser helped (so far it did).
Thank you @AlexeyMatskevich, yes sadly we are dependant on uBlock regarding this. Since it seems not to be AdNauseam specific, it's useful to check the discussions on their issue tracker as well: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/19976
purge + update = did not solve the problem
Hello, on chrome i found out that by using "AdBlocker Ultimate" youtube does not bother anymore, i do not think this adblocker is OSS but i take it as a temporary solution while we figure out how to implement this behaviour on adnauseaum/ublock , i also would recommend surfing the web or youtube, there is a lot of info we are currently missing out about this problem.
Thank you @Elkellympia for the comment. Using other adblockers along side adnauseam is not recommended, but it is possible, and most of the ad collection works despite other adblockers, so it is fine to use it yes.

Of course, i agree, but this is one of my last resources to combat this while we try to fix it for ublock or adnauseam, i have been trying with multiple adnauseam/ublock configs for the past day and no luck yet, let's see if we can beat google on this one

It worked for me. First of all, I installed 'ublock Origin' from Chrome store. then, i Updated all the 'Filter Lists' from the 'Extension options'. and finally, I Disabled all other Ad-Blocking Chrome Extensions from 'Manage Extensions' Menu. (Most Important -- If any of your Previous Ad-Block extensions are active in the Background, Youtube will detect them and Video will get Blocked.)
It is working without any pop-ups (for now).
Worked for you doesn't mean anything. come back in a few days and tell us how well it worked. (it didn't)
I'm also noticing pause notifications from Youtube appearing again.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/s/N1Lbk4dhXY try adding these to your filter lists

tried, does not work, in my case the sign is in the video frame, because i already ignored the warnings, in this case, that does not work
Just got this today. Working fine yesterday - no ads on YouTube and no anti-adblock notice either. Today it's not working.
I've found that, if I get an ad, refreshing makes it go away: the page loads again, and then the video plays without an ad.

Fun fact, refreshing counts against one of the three video limit that happens
I switched to uBlock Origin after being blocked and it still detects the adblocker and refuses to play videos.
I got blocked and shut down on chrome and even on safari using adblock. installed ghostery on safari and so far so good (for now)

Hello, I got this too. First it was the warning on screen, and after a day or 2 began the warning that I can only view 3 more videos. Fixed it by logging out and logging back in. All this happened few weeks ago.
But today while going through videos, this appeared:
(sorry it is in Finnish)
I then tried to block it with AdNauseam:
youtube.com###container > .yt-playability-error-supported-renderers.style-scope
youtube.com###error-screen > .yt-playability-error-supported-renderers.style-scope
youtube.com###error-screen
But that simply resulted in a black box of nothing :(
Just the play button and rest of the video UI appeared.
I have tested what happens on another account and none of these problems have appeared then.
Also no one of these settings of AdNauseam seem to affect it.
Edit: Removed website data, and after signing in again, everything works fine :)

Started getting this just now despite it being fine earlier. It's the same for ublock with me as well.
This YouTube video tells you how to remove the ad-blocker warning from You Tube. The presenter talks about UBlock but the principles are the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhy66w5nVK0
You could also just install "Fadblock" chrome extension. works perfectly, it skips ads instead of blocking them (it happens in microseconds though a quick blip and then back to video)

This may work on uBlock but it certainly does not work on AdNauseam for me.
What I find intresting is that I just installed this adblock about one or two weeks ago and only started to detect it today.
Edit after 11 minutes: It suddenly works again now?
Right now, after it working for the week I've had it installed, YouTube now detects it and warns this:
Please fix.
just switch to "Fadblock" on chrome. it's the only one ive found that really works.

I don't know what changed but videos play again for me.
As a temporary measure, I've found that deleting all my cookies associated with both YouTube and Google makes it go away for at least a few weeks, even after logging back in. If I find the specific cookie used to track this popup, I'll post my findings here.

It horribly slows down browsers for me, so I don't use it. Takes forever for YouTube to load the subscriptions list, etc.
Anyone else encountering an issue where the video infinitely buffers or the video quality goes down to 144p? My internet is 250mbps and have no issues watching videos elsewhere, and when I open up, say Edge, and play the same video, it's all of a sudden perfectly fine. I wonder if youtube knows that it can't fully block this adblocker and is trying to force headaches.
Well this is new lol. I have noticed that BS like this starts around 5PM EST (in other words, no more adblocker on youtube after this time, impossible to watch with any enabled). It almost confirms my suspicions that youtube is throwing random things at a wall in an attempt to not let adblock users go through. None of these temporary fixes have worked for me, nor does finding something else.
Now this is just annoying.
I'm also getting this now. Updating the filter list seems to have no effect
Before commenting on this issue, please make sure that you have installed AdNauseam v3.19.0
My settings:
After a few days, the warning changed to:
I switched to uBlock Origin and for a few days I had no problems. But then, after a PC restart: So, this is not AdNauseam-Specific.
