Similar experience on FF 34.0 on Linux 64 bit. Over two days testing, AdNauseum only detected a small subset of ads, and only "clicked" on about half those.
Same here on firefox 34.0.5 on OS X Yosemitie
Running Firefox 34.0 on Windows 8.1 64-bit. Disabled all add-ons except Adblock Plus and Adnauseam. Set Adblock Plus to Disable everywhere.
After going to a couple of heavy ad sites it continues to display 0 ads detected.
The current release (1.0.02) is not detecting Flash or text-only ads. Text-ads have been included in the next release (to be published shortly), and Flash ads will (hopefully) be in the release following that.
However, if anyone can identify ads that are not Flash or Text, and are still not being handled correctly by AdNauseam, this info would be very useful to the developers (please post the URL, and a screenshot of the pages, ideally without any adblocker and ads marked or highlighted). Thanks
Here's an example, the SMBC homepage (http://www.smbc-comics.com) has 5 ads that are blocked by AdBlockPlus. 2 are flash (so they don't count); 1 is detected by AdNauseam (patreon.com); and the other 2 are not detected that are static image ads (tribalfusion.com, projectwonderful.com).
This is very helpful, thanks. What method are you using to count the # of ads blocked in ABP?
The output for smbc-comics.com, using the current dev version (v1.0.06), soon to be released:
My method is old-school, I just disable/enable ABP and look for the differences. Looks like the new release will perform much better!
Issues fixed in v1.1
Just installed with AdBlock Plus and plugin doesn't appear to do anything.. 0 ads detected even visiting sites like cnn.com.
Looked at AdNauseum logs, it is definitely enabled and no errors reported. Latest version of AdBlock Plus on Firefox 34.0.5, Windows 7 64-bit. Plugins installed: AdBlock Plus 2.6.6, AdNauseam 1.0.03, NoScript 2.6.9.6, RequestPolicy 0.5.28, AdBlock Edge 2.1.7 (disabled)
