Adjusting/Expanding TaDiRAH #9

Hi! I have a question regarding the use of the taxonomy in the DARIAH DH Course Registry. Since there is now a close cooperation between DARIAH and CLARIN, there have been requests from the CLARIN community to add some Research Activities (and e.g. the Research Object "Speech" in addition to "Language"), since they feel that the taxonomy does not fit all their needs as is. Is there a way to do this that you recommend or is the taxonomy (or rather 'should it be used as') closed?

Thanks for your interest in TaDiRAH. TaDiRAH is open for suggestions for additional terms! (With respect to backwards compatibility, we actually prefer to add a term rather than change the definition of an existing term.) The best way to do this is to open a separate issue for any term you would like to suggest. It is important to include a reason why the underlying concept is not covered yet in the taxonomy (for example, why is "speech" not covered by "language") as well as a scope note (briefly describing the concept, including a note on differences to related terms in the taxonomy).

How to proceed if some people are willing to be involved in a revision of TaDiRAH? This might be the occasion to harmonise the versions in different languages.
