Thanks for your PR :)

I've been meaning to add instructions for downloading and verifying the integrity of binaries uploaded to a Github release, since it applies to a bunch of repos of mine. I finally finished it and uploaded the instructions here. I've also added a reference to them to omm's README.

Given this, I think this change is no longer needed. If you still have other ideas/suggestions, feel free to push them here, or to https://github.com/dhth/binhelpers.
