You are using an out of date version, you can download a later from here
http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-videos/downloads/list
Either get_flash_videos-1.24-git-20130212..... or
combined-get_flash_videos-1.24-git-20130212 can be downloaded and run from your
home directory.
You may require the addition Module::Find if using the first option.
You can download App-get_flash_videos-1.24-git-20130212 expand build and
install.
Or clone my git repository or this and either run direct from the repository or
build/install.
I also use Debian Sequeeze, I checked using my existing version and that worked
also, this is slightly behind the OpenbSD version.

Thanks for that. I had just grabbed the Debian package without really looking
at the dates! Now we just need some kind person to create a Debian package of
the newest version ...
However: the version I was using has an 'update' feature that did not work -
it just reported that I already had the latest version, which was obviously
not true. Is this in issue in the latest version too?

The update feature should not be used with packaged versions, and should have
been disabled. There isn't an update to download as yet using the --update
option, it comes from this site and the latest released version is still set to
the old 1.24 version.
Debian have some people maintaining the packaging.
Closing as a duplicate of previous YouTube issues.
