Setup: Corei7 5820 k, 16gb RAM, 256 SSD Drive, MSI X99 Plus Win 8.1 64 bits Max 6.1.9 64 bits (registered) Kinect SDK v2.0

Steps: Open the dpkinect2 demo patch Start metro

Result:

No colormap, No IRmap output (black frames)
(sometimes a windows messages pops up "what do you want to do with this device (kinect)) and the dp.kinect closed the kinect

with verbose flag: dp.kinect2:

Kinect has not been successfully opened and initialized

Seems to be a usb3 port issue. I switched to another usb controller and now I´m getting IRmap & Colormap.

Good to hear you had success. The Kinect for Windows 2.0 has very high computer system requirements. A tool you can use to help you determine if your computer is "Kinect Configuration Verifier".

It can be started from the SDK Browser installed with the SDK.
Or downloaded from http://kinectforwindows.com. Currently linked at the bottom of that page as "Verify system compatibility"
