Hi to expand this app popularity, I think it is the best we have this app in Windows and macOS. Is this possible?

rafaelmardojai commented 3 years ago

Running Dialect on Windows or macOS should be technically possible. But no one of us use those OS as daily driver, so that will be hard to maintain. Also I don't have experience packaging for Window nor macOS.

Other than that we would be happy to accept if someone shows up to create/maintain those packages.

You might also need to pay hundreds of dollars a year for code signing.

That's for Windows or just macOS?!

Please watch Make your application multi-platform!.

If understood correctly, hundreds of dollars a year for Windows plus hundreds of dollars a year for macOS.

Is code signing required, or is it just to remove a warning dialogue when installing ?

It is understood that it is just to remove a warning dialogue when installing.

Doesn't it also prevent Microsoft Defender from deleting the executable?

I don't see it as something complicated.
